Domestic Violence Shelter Facility

Halo House, a nonprofit organization supporting women and children survivors of domestic violence, is the onsite manager of the property at 21 St. Clare Road, Medford—a newly renovated building designed specifically to support the needs of domestic violence shelters and nonprofit service providers.

This thoughtfully developed space is intended to serve as a resource for organizations seeking trauma-informed, secure, and functional environments to support survivors. With dedicated infrastructure for both residential and programmatic needs, the facility can accommodate organizations looking to expand or relocate their services in partnership with Halo House.

    • 34 private bedrooms for individuals or families, designed with privacy and dignity in mind.

    • Connected rooms for larger families.

    • 3 flexible-use rooms that can be tailored for counseling, meetings, or housing overflow.

    • 2 ADA-compliant rooms for accessibility.

    • Commercial kitchen and spacious communal dining area to streamline daily operations.

    • Two multi-purpose rooms ideal for group activities, workshops, wellness programs, and educational sessions.

    • Dedicated children’s playroom offering a secure and nurturing environment for

    • families.

    • Robust building-wide security system to protect residents and staff.

    • On-site offices for case managers, staff, or partner providers.

    • Laundry, communal lounges, and comfortable shared spaces for daily living.

    • Trauma-informed case management.

    • Educational programming for residents and partners (job readiness, financial literacy, DV prevention).

    • Coordination with nonprofit partners placing clients.

    • Administrative assistance and facility oversight to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
